Several LMS students won awards and had their work appear in LNP’s Newspapers in Education competition and publication.

Angelina Ewing, a fifth-grader at the News Danville Campus, received second place in the Writer’s Choice category with her story, “My 11th Birthday Party.” Carrie Anne Kendig, a first-grader at New Danville, took second place in the Illustrating Headlines category with her drawing, “How about an Elephant Ride.”

Isabella Astuto, a seventh-grader at the Kraybill Campus placed third in the News Feature category with her article on “Endangered Species in PA.”

Two students had advertisement designs appear in the booklet: Meiah Dishart, a second-grader at the Locust Grove Campus designed an ad for Flower and Home Market, and Amelia Cuebos, a fifth-grader at the Locust Grove Campus, designed an ad for Daystar Books.
