Glen Lapp Volleyball Tournament Logo

Two successful weekends of the Glen Lapp Memorial Volleyball Tournament wrapped up on Saturday! The 2024 events took place on January 6th and 13th. 🏐 The event was created to honor the life of Glen Lapp, an aid worker who was killed along with nine others while they were providing free medical assistance to a rural area in Afghanistan. Glen was passionate about volleyball. He played, and later coached, at Lancaster Mennonite.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Glen D. Lapp Endowment for Student Aid. True to Glen’s global perspective, the endowment was created to provide scholarships for immigrant and refugee students at LM—it has issued over $10,000 in student aid in the last few years. This year it raised just over $3,970! The endowment as a whole has reached over $83,000. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success, and congratulations to our winners from both divisions!
