Advisory Groups

Every high school student is part of a advisory group during their time at LMH. The following purposes have been established to guide the care group ministry happening at the high school:

  • To ensure that each LMH student has the opportunity to make connections with a staff member and other students in his/her class.
  • To provide an opportunity for sharing and prayer in a small group setting.
  • To have students experience a rhythm of life that includes large and small group settings and interactions.
  • To provide an avenue for students to interact with students outside their established circle of friends.
  • To provide an academic advisor for each student.
  • To give opportunity for student leadership to develop in a small group setting.
  • To relax together and just have fun relating.

Chapel

Chapel is truly a special time in our school day. It is important to begin the day with God—to worship and celebrate the spiritual blessings that we have in a Christian school community. Prayer, singing, drama and various speakers all help to make chapel a meaningful time for students and faculty. Students help to plan and participate in many of the chapels. The school's motto is "Teach me thy way, O Lord;" Chapel is a time to learn the ways of God as we attempt to follow Jesus Christ in daily living.

Curriculum

The high school is a comprehensive school with a strong college preparatory program. The school offers numerous honors and Advanced Placement courses and excellent opportunities in the arts, agriculture, business education, career training, and technology education. Please click on "Curriculum" for specific information about course offerings.

Drama Opportunities

LMH provides wonderful opportunities for drama skills to be developed. Drama Performance class is offered for students to tests their skills and interest in drama. The high school fall drama, winter drama, and spring musical are excellent learning experiences for both cast and crew. Drama also is a useful tool in chapel.

Music Opportunities

Music is very important in the life of the school. The high school offers classes such as concert band, jazz band, orchestra and various choral groups. The jazz band plays at sporting events and helps promote school spirit. Junior Chorale, Vocal Ensemble, Men's Chorus, and Campus Chorale are wonderful opportunities for students to sing together and share God's love through concerts at the school and in local congregations. Chapels provide another opportunity for students to share musical gifts as they assist in worship.

Athletics

The LMH sports program is a good opportunity for student athletes to develop their abilities, play together in team settings, and bring honor and glory to God through these activities. We are members of the Lancaster Lebanon League (local public school league) and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. Our teams qualify to play for league championships, compete in District three playoffs, and qualify for state tournament play. The following high school sports are offered:
